LOVING LATELY #7

It's been a while since my last post so soz about that. It turns out the lighting in my uni room is pants for taking blog pictures so I need to be a bit more organised and take them in bulk when I'm back at home. It's also been a while since my last Loving Lately so here's another...

I've been talking about Colourpop a lot on here recently and for good reason. I've pretty much loved everything I've tried since my first order in July but the I Think I Love You palette is my most recent obsession. I'll admit the shades aren't anything revolutionary but if you're a warm, bronzey eyeshadow fan, you'll like this. For me, this is the perfect everyday palette for when you don't have massive amounts of time in the morning. There's a couple of matte browns for transition shades and a load of beautiful, warm, shimmery colours which are ideal for putting all over the eye and blending out. The matte black is also handy for adding smokiness. I'm already a big fan of Colourpop's pressed eyeshadow formula but I think the quality in this palette is even better than the Yes Please palette (which I talked about here). The mattes are smooth and so easy to blend and the shimmers are unbelievably soft and pigmented in one swipe. Plus, the rose gold packaging is cute as hell.

I've officially decided that the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Bow n Arrow is my favourite lipstick ever. A pretty bold statement, I know. Ever since I first reviewed it in this post it's been my go-to lipstick for every occasion. The colour, a pale browny nude, is the perfect shade for my skintone and goes with pretty much any eyeshadow. It feels lightweight and comfortable and lasts through basically anything, although like all matte liquid lipsticks it does get a bit drying after a few hours.

I've had the NYX HD Studio Photogenic Concealer for probably over sixth months now but I used it once and realised I'd accidentally bought the wrong shade. I've finally got round to picking up the right shade and it's already my new favourite. For me, it's the perfect all-round concealer. It's fairly high coverage but creamy and blendable so you can use it under the eyes or on spots and it won't get dry and cakey.

The highlighters in the Tarteist Pro Glow to Go Palette are basically the only ones I've used for a good few months. Both shades apply so smoothly and make your skin look sheeny and glowy without being chunky and glittery. Burst is more subtle and natural and Gleam is great for full-on glow. Chisel is a bit too warm-toned to work as a contour for me so I don't really use it but I think this palette is still 100% worth it for the highlighters. The palette smells like chocolate too, in case you need more persuading.

Finally, I couldn't not include something from my new favourite brand. I wrote about my first impressions of The Ordinary here (and I've bought a few more things since) and I think I could've included all the products in this post to be honest. But, the Salicylic Acid is probably my favourite.
I use a couple of drops all over my face after cleanser and before moisturiser but you can just dot it on problem areas as well. It reduces redness, speeds up healing of blemishes, gets rid of oil and just generally clears up skin. And for less than a fiver it's a no brainer.

Have you tried any of these products?
