BENEFIT BROW ZINGS

I've never been a brow powder kinda gal, I've always found them a bit faffy and time consuming. But I was browsing the Benefit counter the other day when I spotted the famous Brow Zings Brow Shaping Kit so I bit the bullet and bought it. What can I say? I live life on the edge.

The compact itself is dinkier than I expected but inside you get a wax, a powder, a mini pair of tweezers, two mini brushes and a decent sized mirror (and it makes a really satisfying snap sound when you close it - it that weird?). Plus, considering how little product you use each time this kit should last yonks so the £24.50 price tag doesn't seem quite so bad. The idea is that you use the wax to shape your brows and then the powder to set it but I prefer using the powder first to fill in my brows and then using the wax to neaten up the edges. I've been using my Zoeva Wing Liner Brush to apply this but the mini brushes and tweezers it comes with are handy to have for when you're on the go. Although it's a little trickier to use than my beloved Soap and Glory Archery Brow Pencil, I really really like the finish of this. It looks very natural, the colour is a near perfect match (I use 'dark') and it lasts all day without smudging or moving which is great seeing as I don't want my eyebrows to end up on my chin. However, for quick and easy application, the Soap and Glory pencil still wins.

Have you tried this? What did you think?

Thanks for reading, Lucy x

  1. There's a Sleek Makeup Brow Kit that's practically identical to the Benefit Brow Zings palette, so I couldn't warrant spending over £20 on this. I do love Benefit, but I definitely think a lot of their products are overpriced! The S&G Archery pencil is another favourite, brow product of mine, too :)

    1. Isn't it just? I was a little put off by the price but I think it's justified seeing as how long it'll last. Thanks for reading x

  3. This was my holy grail eyebrow product when I first bought it and now I csnt remember the last time I used it! I now tend to use pencils and the S&G one is the one I tend to reach for so I know what you mean about it being less fuss and just easier to use!

    1. It's great for when you've got a little more time on your hands but I still go back to the S&G pencil for when I'm in a rush. Thanks for reading x
