BASES ON A BUDGET

I don't know what it is about foundations but I just really like buying and trying new ones. It may or
may not be a legit problem. So today I'm sharing my favourites and they're all pretty cheap so that's a bonus. You'll probably be able to tell from the following that I favour the light/medium coverage, weightless on the skin, satin-finish type foundations (and if they have a pump that's pretty handy too).

The Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation was the first foundation I bought and I still luuurve it. What I like most is the consistency; as the name suggests, it's quite gel-like so it feels really smooth and hydrating on the skin, the complete opposite of cakey. I'd recommend this for anyone who wants to start wearing foundation but doesn't want anything too thick or heavy. Plus it smells really yummy and makes your brush smell great too.

Another one I really like from Bourjois is the 123 Perfect CC Cream. I wasn't really fussed by the whole BB/CC cream thing but I love this one. Despite the name, I would definitely say this is more of a foundation as it packs a pretty big punch in terms of coverage. It's quite runny in texture and glides easily over the skin but has a more matte finish.

Possibly my all-time favourite foundation is the L'Oreal True Match which I discovered a few months ago and have used nearly every day since. It blends into the skin so easily and looks so natural you can barely tell you're wearing makeup. Also, it has a ma-hoo-sive shade range available in cool, warm or neutral undertones so you're almost guaranteed to find your perfect colour.

The newest addition to my collection is the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation and it has quickly become one of my faves. It's quite thick in texture but looks really natural and blends easily. It's very hydrating so perfect for drier skin types and lasts for yonks as well.

I'm pretty sure I'll do an updated one of these sometime soon because my foundation collection is constantly growing.
